Corporate Highlights

  • Jaiprakash Associates Board approves Bonus Issue in the ratio of 1:2 & declares Interim Dividend of 27%
  • India extended tax-free white sugar imports till December 2010. The move came in to improve supplies to tide over a shortage.
  • NIIT, IBM to announce strategic tie-up on Oct 23
  • Govt is considering a two phase FPO in SAIL; will offload 10% in the first tranche, which will fetch it Rs 8,000 crore; first tranche is likely to occur this fiscal while the second tranche might happen in FY11

  • Yes Bank says deposit growth was at 35.1%. Net Interest Margins stood at 3.15%. Return On Assets up 1.86 vs 1.36 YoY. The revenue has seen traction across all business lines. Bank's gross NPA stood at 0.31 while net NPA was 0.08%. Most of Loan growth has come towards the end of the quarter. An increase in NII is 30.6%. Whole sale banking contributed to 72% of revenues.
