- Siemens Ltd has receipt two orders worth Rs 109 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL)to construct and upgrade PGCIL's 400 kv Bachau and 400 kv Maithon substations
- MD, Ceat says that the company will sell 25 acres of Bhandup plant in 12-24 months. The company to invest about Rs 750 cr rupees for expansion & new plant. He expects FY10 sales to grow by 8-10%. The company will set up new plant in Ambarnath. He is awaiting land allotment from MIDC. The new projects will include plants for LCV, 20 wheeler tyres
- BHEL said that the company is likely to announce biggest order this week of 6x600 MW and expect FY10 profit to grow by 30%. The company is looking at acquisition for tech, may be a JV with foreign company. Management said that incremental order book for FY10 will not be less than FY09. Major chunk of orders will come from power sector. Impact of reduction in raw material costs will start flowing. The company will be able to manufacture 10-11000MW. The company is targeting super-critical space. Company's 48% revenue comes from shop production and 76% revenue comes from power sector.

- Etisalat-Reliance Communication strucks deal in Rs 10,000 Cr passive infra sharing pact. The agreement tenure is for 10 years for towers & transmission. Reliance Communication & Reliance Infra to manage Etisalat-Swan network infra in 15 circles. The deal is based on annual revenue share basis. Etisalat DB owns 45% in Indian mobile company Swan Telecom
